I made more progress on Chapter 15 of RttW than the previous day, but it was still short of quota, much less enough to make up for shortfalls thus far. I wanted to get ahead of some grading yesterday, so that took a bit of my time, but I really do need to try buckling down more. Stay tuned.

There were issues with the mascot that had to be dealt with, so I didn’t get any writing done Monday and didn’t accomplish much more than breaking ground on Chapter 15 of RttW during my day off Tuesday. I can’t say for sure at this point whether or not I’ll get the chapter done by the deadline, but we’ll see how it goes. Stay tuned.

I managed to make a little more progress on Chapter 9 of CoP, getting into the first movement of the big fight scene. The stage is set for pushing forward in the next cycle, but for now, I’ll be turning my attention to RttW and see if I can’t get the next chapter out by this weekend or next. Will it happen? All I can do is try. Stay tuned.

Clearly I underestimated bunkasai. Well, that and there was more work-work to deal with as well, then I had my evening outing Friday on top of the pile. I made absolutely no progress Thursday except for doing a little research to establish the setting of the scene. I did make some progress on Chapter 9 of CoP and have pretty well got right up to the point of the big fight scene. Obviously I’m not going to make my deadline, so I hope to make some more headway over the weekend so that I can get the chapter out next cycle. Stay tuned.

Again, I came in under quota on Chapter 9 of CoP, but progress is progress. I’m moving closer to the big fight scene that’s the main event. I’m almost done with my grading, so when I’m not playing along with the two-day bunkasai festivities, I’m hoping to get the chapter done. Stay tuned.

You know how I’ve intermittently adopted the habit of sleeping for a few hours, then spending an hour or two writing before going back to sleep for the remainder of the time I have before my alarm? Funnily enough, I stumbled on a vid talking about the medieval two-sleep cycle. I’d never heard of this before, but it’s an interesting old tradition that apparently goes back to antiquity where you have this period in the middle of the night which could be used for socializing, study, prayer, etc. And here I just happened to revive the old tradition.

Anyway, this leads us to the progress I made on Chapter 9 of CoP. It was under quota, but I finished the first segment and progressed further in the second segment, which is going to be a fair bit longer and involve an action scene that’s going to take time to choreograph. Fun, fun, fun. Stay tuned.

As usual, I didn’t capitalize on having the day off to make some major writing progress. I further made the mistake of not starting until I was almost ready for bed, so I wasn’t all that coherent at that point and didn’t get more than a few sentences of Chapter 9 of CoP finished. As I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, there’s plenty of downtime this week, so once I get caught up on my grading, I can focus on getting through the chapter. We’ll see how it goes. Stay tuned.

I conked out surprisingly early yesterday evening, so I didn’t get much done at all. Frustrating, yes, but all part of the joy of getting reacclimated to my usual workload. As you can imagine, I rather like being on the half-day schedule during the breaks, but you’ve got to put in the regular grind to get to the breaks. I did manage to do a bit of work on Chapter 9 of CoP, but I’m obviously not getting the chapter finished by Saturday. We’ve got Monday off, and bunkasai stuff all next week, so maybe I can turned things around. (I do tend to say that a lot.) Stay tuned.

I made a little more progress on Chapter 9 of CoP. Again, not much, but something is better than nothing. I’ve actually been spending way too much time trying to figure out how to say “Child of Promise” in Arabic for a chant by the locals. I may not have it quite right, but I suppose if a correction ever gets brought to my attention, I can fix it. Anyway, onward and upward. Stay tuned.
