As I was at with yet with very little actual work to do last week, I made significant progress on my writing. I finished Chapter 36 of JJ2, then went on to knock out Chapters 37 and 38 and started Chapter 39. Not a bad bit of work. Now I need to move on to EM2. Because I jumped ahead a bit, now would be a good time to fill in the gaps as I’ve got the week off. Of course, we all know what time off usually means for progress, so we’ll see. Stay tuned,

I made some rather nice progress this week. I got through Chapters 14 and 15 and then went on to Chapter 19. (I was at work at the time and didn’t have access to my notes, so I ending up jumping a fair bit further ahead than I intended. I can always fill in the gaps later, of course.) I’m rather pleased to finally have a bit of a buffer on one of my stories for a change. It’s certainly been a while. With that taken care of, I’ll be shifting gears to KniTwi from here. Hopefully the Golden Week festivities don’t become an excuse for me to goof off too much. Stay tuned.

Chapter 35 of JJ2 ended up being longer than I thought, but I managed to get it done and started Chapter 36 before winding up my progress for the week. Now it’s time to switch over to EM2. Stay tuned.

So I went and wrapped up the epilogue of EM2, then went back to knock out Chapter 12 for the update and also managed to finish Chapter 13 while I was at it. A fair showing for a week’s work. I need to be getting back to KniTwi now. I’ve got seven chapters of battle to write (not all in one go, of course). Stay tuned.

So I went to work knocking out Chapter 34 of JJ2. I’m probably on a watchlist for my research into plane crashes, explosives and the women of the Mughal Empire, but these is the price you have to pay for the sake of your craft. I then returned to Chapter 35 and got so wrapped up in it that I forgot that it was Chapter 34 that was coming out this week and was feeling pressure for the deadline. How wonderful to actually be ahead of the game for a change. Eagle-eyed readers will notice that the story has been expanded by two chapters. I decided to split up the events of Chapter 35 to give each more time to breathe and stand on their own.

Most of Saturday was spent working on the schedule of the Peace Line. This sort of thing is even more fun when you’re working on a completely different time scale than Earth. (Recall that Miravel has 28-hour days and 460-day, 16-month years.) I started to go cross-eyed after a while and I’m not even halfway done with one of the four main circuits.

I’ll probably fiddle around with JJ2 a little bit more before switching over to EM2 in preparation for the next update. More to come. Stay tuned.

I continued to write a bit more on the epilogue of EM2 before going over to knock out Chapter 11 for this week’s update and then starting on Chapter 12. Progress was put on hold after that as I had to ramp up my job hunting efforts. I’ve got quite a few plates to keep spinning until I’m sure I have something locked in, but once I get som breathing room, I’ll head over to KniTwi to resume work there. More to come. Stay tuned.

I guess I haven’t been posted here in a while. Well, let’s get everyone up to speed. I finished Chapter 33 of JJ2, then jumped ahead to Chapter 35 before going back to get Chapter 34 started. Also, because of a bit of inspiration, I jumped well ahead and did a bit of EM2’s epilogue.

Speaking of EM2, I finally got the story all plotted. Yes, I know that should be done before you start, but I’ve been doing a lot more on-the-fly writing these days. Feeling particularly rudderless on this one, I finally just sat down and powered my way through the story. And now that that’s done, I can drive on ahead. More to come. Stay tuned.

I spent most of Monday fleshing out notes for a potential story idea that sprang up in my head. Coming so soon on the heels of the idea I was working on Friday is a level of inspiration I haven’t had in a while. Returning to more pressing matters, I finished Chapter 10 of EM2 and then began work on Chapter 15 of KniTwi before delving into the peripheral materials. The latter half of the week was fairly busy work-wise, which left me too tired to be as productive as I would’ve liked. Still, it’s a better showing for this week than I’ve been having recently. Here’s to further progress. Stay tuned.

I went back to write up Chapter 32 of JJ2 (having figured out what to do with the space since my last entry), then went on to Chapter 10 of EM2. Then I put the finishing touches Chapter 14 of KniTwi before getting it posted. I’ll be going back to finish that chapter of EM2 and then go back KniTwi. Stay tuned.

I was moving right along with Chapter 14 of KniTwi, to the point where I thought I was pretty much done on Tuesday, with just a little stitching together to be done, so I moved on to Chapter 33 of JJ2 (not Chapter 32, which is next, because I hadn’t yet figured out what I wanted to put there). Then Saturday rolls around and it turns out I had more work to do on KniTwi than I thought. I didn’t use my time that effectively over the weekend, hence the current delay. Fear not. Lent is coming up soon and my usual distractions are going to get pared down significantly. Until then, bear with me. Stay tuned.
