After so many days of brisk progress, it’s a little disappointing to report that I only managed a couple sentences of Chapter 14 of EM because I didn’t get to writing until I was starting to conk out.

Earlier in the day I did some work to detail an idea that may or may not ever see the light of day. Basically, I took elements of Jurassic World and adapted them to a Fifth Empire story about combat robots. You see, I really love the dynamics of the raptor pack in JW and I started thinking about an analog that would allow for human communication while still being removed from humanity, which led me to a dangerous combat AI rather unscrupulously developed and narrowly contained. Instead of a theme park gone awry, we have a military R&D program that goes out of control when the boundaries are pushed too far. Should the idea get further development, it’ll only retain a superficial relation to its inspiration, but I thought I’d bring it up since I didn’t have much other progress to report.

In other news, I may use the coming Thanksgiving break to launch the Else Arc I’ve mentioned in the past. I’ll still retain the “Five Arcs” label so I don’t wreck any links or search engine results, though. The Else Arc with be something of an unofficial Arc. However, as I allow myself total creative freedom with it, there’s some great potential. Stay tuned.

I pretty well wrapped up both Chapters 12 and 13 of EM and started in on Chapter 14 as well. This has been a rather productive week thus far. At this rate, the prospect of finishing a novel a year or even two novels a year doesn’t seem that unrealistic. I’ve got a fair bit of homework to do, so progress might slack off a bit over the weekend, but we’ll see how much more I can get done. We’ll set Chapter 15 as our goal before it’s time to switch over. Stay tuned.

I pretty well wrapped up Chapter 12 of EM and did some work on Chapter 13 as well. I’m toying with the idea of a sequel, but there are no serious plans as of yet. I’m not the sort of person to build up a world for only one outing, after all. Anyway, more to come. Stay tuned.

Made some good progress on Chapter 12 of EM. I’m getting ever closer to the halfway mark and if I can keep going at this rate, I should pass it easily enough. Stay tuned.

I made a little progress on Chapter 10 of EM, coming just shy of finishing it. Though tempted to wrap it up, I think I’ll just leave it until the next cycle and go ahead with TTWC3. Stay tuned.

After a day of just wandering through all my different Cross Arc manuscripts adding little bits and pieces here and there, I buckled down and managed to get both Chapters 6 and 9 of EM pretty well finished.  This puts me rather comfortably ahead of the game, but I’d like to at least finish Chapter 10 as well before the weekend is out. I don’t have a whole lot of homework this week, so it should be an entirely manageable goal. Stay tuned.

I managed to make some good progress on Chapter 6 of EM, getting most of the dialog written for the second half that had me stuck for so long. I just need to fill in the narrative and it’ll be done. I also penned a few lines of dialog for Chapter 15 as I was going through and preparing metatag summaries of each chapter. It’s nice to have a little bit written for each chapter so I don’t have to go back to my notes to remember what the chapter is supposed to be about. More to come. Stay tuned.

I haven’t made a lot of progress. I did write a bit on Chapters 7 and 10 of JJ and filled out the character glossaries of both JJ and EM up to the current point. Now that I’m caught up on homework, I can focus a little more on writing a bit, but I’ll be right back at it in a couple days. Hopefully I can make some decent headway before then. Stay tuned.

For some reason, finishing Chapter 9 would’ve taken more brainpower than I had at the ready as late as it was when I started writing, so instead I finished Chapter 11 instead. This leaves me with gaps to fill for Chapters 6, 9 and 10, but these are all things I’ll work on the next time EM’s turn comes up. I’m going to switch over to TTWC3 and see how far I can get. Rounding out Carpos’ section would be nice, but I suppose I shouldn’t get too greedy. Stay tuned.
