Synopsis:
The vengeful spirit of the Queen of the South Sea possesses a woman to seek revenge on the descendant of the man who thwarted her reign of terror a hundred years ago.

Impressions:
I'd seen an Internet review of this movie years ago and on a whim decided to check it out for myself. The only other Indonesian movie I've seen is The Raid 2 and I couldn't tell you if this is anywhere near what you'd consider the norm for the country's cinema. The idea of making a modern horror/thriller incorporating local mythology is promising, but that promise is largely wasted by making a poor imitation of The Terminator. However, the violence is so hilariously over the top that you might find yourself entertained. If you're in the mood for cheesy exploitation from abroad, you might want to give this one a shot.
