Synopsis:
The decimated Survey Corps throws everything it has in a desperate bid to turn the tide of battle.

Story/Characters:
The series continues on the familiar beat of setting up an optimistic scenario, giving us a little early success, then tearing it all away from us, pushing our surviving heroes to the brink before maybe salvaging a little something at a high price. I've always been mildly concerned at the theme of what I've considered needless sacrifice, but I guess given that the characters are typically pushed to the edge, there's not much room for half-measures. It is rather cathartic to introduce the Beast Titan to Levi and for Armin to get his moment in the sun.

Art:
The high drama that unfolds is duly delivered by the art. The Beast Titan wreaks a lot of havoc and there's a lot of visual punch to Armin's big moment.

Conclusion:
If you like watching humanity throw itself bodily in the face of ridiculous odds, then you'll like this one.
