Impressions:
Now, chances are, when you saw this movie being advertised, you rolled your eyes and thought, "Pass." I'll admit that I thought there might be some potential, but I wasn't going to go out of my way for it. One of the joys of having small relatives is that you find yourself watching a lot of stuff you wouldn't otherwise. Honestly, this isn't that bad. It very much falls into the Dreamworks formula and how much you like that formula will determine a greater part of how much you like this movie. I'm honestly not that big a fan of said formula, but there were some good character dynamics and I enjoyed some of the aesthetics, particularly the felt, yarn, etc. look. You should enjoy it well enough. I wouldn't put it up there with the best of Dreamworks' output, but if not in the theaters, it's worth catching when it hits the cable circuit.
