Trinity Seven the Movie: The Eternal Library and the Alchemist Girl (2017)

Director: Hiroshi Nishikiori
Starring: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Yumi Hara, Aya Uchida
Synopsis:
When Arata touches Lilith's grimoire, it releases the seal on the Eternal Library and the power sleeping within.
Impressions:
With less than an hour's runtime, this feels like little more than a two-parter from the TV series. It doesn't take much advantage of the cinema format nor is the story all that consequential. I like the character of Lilim in concept and you can never go wrong with Rina Hidaka's signature cuteness, but there isn't enough time to properly develop her and give her character the weight needed for the story to hit the emotional beats it's going for. Last Trinity is a forgettable and generic antagonist. Unless you're a fan of the series and just want to see them on the screen, I can't give this much of a recommendation. Take it or leave it.
