This movie opens with a documentary style overview of Michelangelo and his work before the main storyline opens. The movie and the story centers on the strong personalities of Michelangelo and Pope Julius II and the strong performances by Charlton Heston and Rex Harrison that bring them to life. It's really a treat to watch the two play off each other. It's an outstanding film in grand epic scale that's definitely worth seeing.
