Yotsuba&! (2004)
[よつばと!]
Volume 2
Author/Artist: Kiyohiko Azuma
Publisher: Dengeki Comics
Synopsis:
Yotsuba meets Ena's friend Miura, who decides to make her an object of torment.
Story/Characters:
The main contribution to this volume is the introduction of Miura, which adds to the Yotsuba-Ena dynamic. While Yotsuba is entertaining with any combination of characters, some of her best antics come with those closer in age to her. Miura is less sensitive than Ena, but though she likes to tease Yotsuba, it isn't particularly mean-spirited. Asagi's rivalry with her mom is also pretty funny. The water park chapter in particular stands out for its comedic value.
Art:
The quality of Azuma's art is consistent with what's been established in the previous volume. There are some really great reaction shots to be had here.
Conclusion:
This is a fine continuation of the series that gives us a new character and plenty of fun episodes. You'll definitely want to add this one to your collection.
