We Never Learn (2019)
[γΌγγγ‘γ―εεΌ·γγ§γγͺγ]
Volume 11
Author/Artist: Taishi Tsutsui
Publisher: Jump Comics
Synopsis:
Furuhashi confronts her father to settle their differences.
Story/Characters:
We get the latter two chapters of the Furuhashi arc where things get sorted out. The other four girls are going to have a hard time competing with this one. Tsutsui then tries to give said girls their time to shine to balance it out. How successfully he does that is for you to decide. Takemoto gets a chapter and a half where she comes clean about her plans to study abroad and a chapter and a half with Ogata playing around with hypnosis. After that, Kurisu-sensei is taking care of her baby cousin Natsumi and it goes much as you'd imagine. Then we get to see a cute side of Ashumi-senpai with her squeeing over the mascot character Dr. Fish #8, followed by a marathon that gives us character moments for the core trio of girls and finally Furuhashi and Takemoto tail Yuiga after they notice him acting odd, leaving us on a sizeable cliffhanger.
Art:
The art maintains the standard you've come to expect. Some of the more emotional moments are particularly well illustrated. The visual comedy of the hypnosis chapter deserves special note. Also, there may be other characters donning maid costumes at some point. Something to consider.
Other:
The cover of 92 has an amusing reverse side and at the end of the volume we get a two-page bonus comic where Furuhashi overcomes her greatest weakness.
Conclusion:
We wrap up a major arc for Furuhashi and then effectively spend the rest of the volume trying to counterbalance that. There's more than enough to enjoy, so give it a read.
