Impressions:
I mentioned drawing similar threads between this series and other work by director Akiyuki Shinbo in my review of the first season and here we see a turn much like the one in Maria-Holic Alive that bends the narrative to the point of almost being unrecognizable. The references get piled on heavier, as does the political commentary. Now, if you liked the more conventional formula of the first season, you may not enjoy yourself as much here. Basically, if you like the characters (even with their quirks stretched to extremes) and can enjoy a whole lot of randomness, then you have a good chance of finding it worth a watch. I'd say give it a shot.
