Bad Company (1995)

Bad Company (1995)

Director: Damian Harris
Starring: Ellen Barkin, Laurence Fishburne, Frank Langella

Synopsis:
A former CIA operative gets hired by a company that does freelance intelligence work, but he soon finds himself caught between a coup in the company and the Agency's own plans.

Impressions:
No, this isn't the Chris Rock/Anthony Hopkins film from '02. (Don't expect me to review that one anytime soon. Really not a Chris Rock fan.) I saw a movie with Laurence Fishburne, so I decided to watch it. This really had a similar feel to Deep Cover, though the subject matter is somewhat different. Fisburne is a smooth operator here and a delight to watch. Ellen Barkin as the scheming second to Frank Langella isn't bad either, but I have a hard time deciding if it's the character or the actress who was uneven. There are smaller roles for David Ogden Stiers and James Hong, which was nice. This is a decent little suspense film and worth a watch, I'd say.
