Impressions:
This is a fine example of historical dramatizations done well. While some artistic license may have been taken, it's a largely faithful retelling of the featured events with an outstanding ensemble cast. The core trio of Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton and Keven Bacon have a strong dynamic and I also want to note Gary Sinise as Ken Mattingly and Ed Harris as Gene Kranz. A lot of attention is paid to the work of the NASA engineers to come up with the solutions to the problems faced by the crew. The drama and tension on the home front is also effectively portrayed. If you're at all interested in the space program or historical drama, this is a must-see and definitely worth a spot in your collection.
