Impressions:
I really liked Wreck-It Ralph, so I was initially on board for a sequel, but I'll be honest with you. The trailer didn't win me over. However, I opted to give it a shot when the chance to see it on the airplane arose. While it's not as good as the original, it's still pretty good. The main complaint I have is that it suffers from what I like to call "Forced Sequel Conflict Syndrome" where we have to have a conflict between characters in the sequel because, well, we have to make the characters fight so they can make up in the third act. The themes of how friendship can change and the lesson about how friends need to be flexible to preserve their friendship were good. I also liked how the Internet was conceptualized. Shank is daggone cool and Princess Casual is a thing I didn't realized I needed in my life, but I'll thank the filmmakers for. There are some eye-rolling elements but nothing quite so obtrusive as aspects of the message in Zootopia, for instance. I'd say give it a watch, though your mileage may vary a bit.
