Synopsis:
Seeking to end the long war between humans and demons, the legendary hero leaves his companions behind to defeat the dreaded Demon King on his own, only to discover the Demon King is a beautiful woman who wants him to join her and find a path toward peace.

Impressions:
This is a nice little series. I liked the Renaissance aesthetic and it quickly became clear that the story is basically the Renaissance in Europe with the serial numbers filed off. The focus on economics made me think of Spice and Wolf. They even have Ami Koshimizu and Jun Fukuyama voicing the leads. The cast is rather appealing. The Hero, the Demon King and the Lady Knight form a fine power trio, the relationship between the Demon King and the Head Maid is great, the Big Sister Maid has a fine character arc, and I like how we see the Crimson Scholar's students grow and develop into players on the world stage. Another thing I like is how the Hero is handled. He's quite OP, but he's put in a situation where his abilities aren't really what's needed. If this was a battle-focused story, it would likely be rather boring, so I credit the original author for finding a way to keep things interesting. I enjoyed it and can easily recommend giving it a watch.
