Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside 2nd (2024)

Director: Makoto Hoshino, Satoshi Takafuji
Studio: Studio Flad
Starring: Ryota Suzuki, Kanon Takao, Naomi Ozora
Episodes: 12

Synopsis:
Ruti has abadoned her mission as the Hero to live with Red and Rit in Zoltan, a new Hero emerges who threatens their quiet life.

Impressions:
One of the main draws of the previous season was the portrayal of the relationship between Red and Rit, but that get sidelined to put more focus on the pseudo-yuri thing going on with Ruti and Tisse, and the eponymous slow life get overtaken by the shenanigans with the new Hero. Now, I see what they're going for narratively and thematically with Van, the new Hero in question, but he is incredibly frustrating to watch. The annoyance factor may put a damper on your enjoyment, but how it all plays out is fairly well-handled. The first season was fairly middle-of-the-road on all fronts and it neither gets significantly better or worse here, so as with the previous season, I'll say it's well enough worth a watch, but you don't need to be breaking down the door to go see it.
