Impressions:
The premise for this series had my attention. If executed well, I thought it would be interesting to see how a practical realist would make things work in a fantasy world. As the title isn't a bait and switch, the focus is primarily on administration and logistics, which may seem like dry material for a lot of viewers, but I feel the strength of the characters carries the story well. The scope of this season mostly covers the initial stabilization of the kingdom and its first round of major internal and external conflicts. While Souma has some formidable abilities as a hero from another world, he's not really geared for combat, so he's not as insufferably OP as most isekai protagonists and does have to use his noggin and make the most of his resources for the gains he achieves. He has a solid counterpart in the form of his fiancée Princess Liscia and the rest of the supporting cast is pretty good as well. This is a nice reprieve from the more generic isekai out there and I'd be happy to see more. Give this one a watch.
