Synopsis:
Senku makes preparations to launch an attack on the Tsukasa Empire.
Impressions:
I have mixed feelings about this show. I have trouble finding any major points to fault it on if I'm being objective, but it took a fair bit of effort to get through it. It's very superficial, I know, but I'm not a fan of the art style and it takes some strong writing to overcome that. Here the writing's decent, but the comedy doesn't usually work for me and I tend to find the drama a little too maudlin for my taste. That said, I really feel this is more a matter of the show simply not clicking with me personally and now that the gimmick has been well-established, the novelty factor of the first season is gone. If you happened to really like the first season, then I think you'll be rather satisfied with the payoffs here. Even with me not being as much of a fan, I thought the end was solid. As such, I'm going to recommend it for a watch.
