Synopsis:
Hijitaka and Private Ogata take opposite sides in a gang war in a bid to get one of the tattooed skins.

Impressions:
The first episode shows us what happened in Yuubari between Hijitaka and Ogata, much in the vein of Yojimbo. Although not absolutely necessary, it's nice to fill in the blanks and we have a bloody good time while we're at it.

The second episode follows the misadventures of Shiraishi as he breaks out of prisons across the country following the story of a beautiful nun who visits prisoners. The punchline is pretty good.

The third episode has the main gang hunting a supposedly immortal bear. They end up being besieged in a farmhouse, which leads to some decent tension and warped comedy.

The fourth episode deals with the character of Anehata, whose story obviously couldn't be shown on TV if you know anything about him. Personally, I wish I had some brain bleach. You'll be shouting "No!" at the screen every time the narrator says, "Ganbare, Anehata Shiton!"

None of these are plot-critical and in the case of the fourth ep, you'll probably wish you hadn't seen it unless you want to see the series' twisted humor pushed to its extremity.
