Impressions:
I'm honestly not a particular fan of Gamera. In fact, this is probably the first Gamera movie I've seen. However, given that this film consists of bits and pieces from the entire Showa series, you could say that I've seen all of them by watching this. It's a corny little low-rent kaijuu flick scraping the bottom of the barrel with a flimsy framing device to pass off the mishmash of old footage as a unified narrative. With some better development, our heroic trio of undercover alien defenders might have been interesting. The one fight scene Mach Fumiake's Kilara gets indicates that there might have been the makings of a passable toku movie if there was the budget for it. If you want some riffing material, I suppose it's worth a watch for that, but otherwise you'll probably just want to pass on it.
