Impressions:
I really love this movie. The quirky nature of its comedy appeals to me greatly, the dialog is entertaining and I like the stop-motion animation. I like the juxtaposition of civilized behavior and wild instincts among the animal characters and the running gag of "cuss" being used for all swear words is very chuckling to me. Among my favorite performances are George Clooney as the charismatic yet wildly hubristic Mr. Fox, Michael Gambon as the farmer Bean, Willem Dafoe as Rat, and Jason Schwatzman as the often petulant Ash. The score by Alexandre Desplat also deserves special note, being both memorable and well-suited to the film. (I have the different variations of the "Boggins, Bunce and Bean" theme playing in my head as I'm writing this.) The sense of humor may not click for everyone, but I think most people can get a lot of enjoyment out of it. I recommend adding it to the collection.
