Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977)
Director: John Boorman
Starring: Linda Blair, Richard Burton, Louise Fletcher
Synopsis:
A priest investigating the death of Father Merrin seeks out the subject of his last exorcism.
Impressions:
I don't have any great attachment to the original film, so I don't have the sort of vehement reaction many people have to this. I just found it to be a fairly mediocre exorcism movie. The theme of juxtaposing and synthesizing science and religion was mildly interesting. It's always nice to see James Earl Jones (as the older version of former Pazuzu possessee Kokumo). If you're curious, you might give it a shot, but you won't miss much by skipping it.
