Impressions:
This movie is quite famous and its reputation is entirely well-deserved. This is a great character study, pitting the twelve jurors against each other in a capital murder case. The characters have varying degrees of depth but all play off each other in interesting ways. The acting is top-notch across the board, but the main credit goes to headliners Henry Fonda and Lee J Cobb. I liked how the story developed, taking what appeared to be an open-and-shut case and steadily breaking it down. I could go on, but I'll leave it at this. This is a well-made, well-written and well-acted film who deserves all the acclaim it gets. This is one of those movies that belongs in the collections of any serious cinephile.
