Synopsis:
After a disastrous concert leaves Franchouchou swimming in debt, the zombie idols have to come together to launch a comeback.

Impressions:
Having rather thoroughly enjoyed the first season, I was more than happy to see a continuation of this series. We start on a low point so the gang can build themselves back up. It's a bit of a soft reset, but it plays into the underdog story by giving our characters a major setback from the get-go. Without a doubt, the highlight of the season is the two-parter dealing with Yugiri's backstory, but there's also a focus episode for fan favorite Tae (that doesn't touch on her backstory, in case you were hoping for that) and the climax is suitably impressive to end the season on a high note. This season is more focused on the characters and their story with less emphasis on the sights and events in Saga, which is fine from a narrative standpoint but makes this less of an advertisement to drum up tourism for the prefecture. If you liked that aspect of the first season, you may be a touch disappointed. All in all, it's a viewing experience that's worth having that should please fans old and new a like. Give it a watch.
