Impressions:
I honestly would have passed on this series if it wasn't for all the nonsense on Twitter prompting me to check it out for myself. No doubt much to the dismay of those working themselves up into such a frothy tizzy, their nonsense ended up winning the show a new fan. The eponymous Uzaki is a fun character, full of energy and mischief, and her prickly sempai Sakurai makes for a good foil. Part of the fun is that Uzaki's antics blow up in her face as often as she actually gets one over on Sakurai, so there's a good balance and it never gets mean-spirited. Amid all this, we have romance take root between them, fostered by the schemes of the supporting cast. If you're looking for an aversion to the typical spineless male/tsundere female combo of most Japanese romcoms, this is just the thing. It's a fun time and well worth a watch.
