Tearmoon Empire (2023)
[ティアムーン帝国物語 ~断頭台から始まる、姫の転生逆転ストーリー~]
Director: Yushi Ibe
Studio: Silver Link
Starring: Sumire Uesaka, Tomori Kusunoki, Yuichiro Umehara
Episodes: 12
Synopsis:
After being executed by revolutionary forces, a selfish princess finds that time has reversed and she is given a second chance to change her ways and avert the overthrow of her empire.
Impressions:
While this has all the markings of a villainess story, the setting isn't an otome game and the protagonist hasn't been isekaied. It really does feel like HameFura, but Princess Mia is no Bakarina, though she does have a decent grasp on the "baka" part. The series is basically just Mia progressively falling upwards, making allies left and right of all her enemies from her previous life. Unfortunately, the humor never really hit with me. The character designs are nice and the production values are good, so you shouldn't have much to complain about as far as the visuals are concerned. If the story manages to click with you in a way it didn't for me, you'll probably find a decent watch, but as far as my own impressions go, I say take it or leave it.
