Impressions:
I really liked the first season of this series, so I was excited for the continuation. It even got me to switch gears from reading the Kagejitsu novels to start digging into the manga that I'd been collecting since last year but hadn't touched until recently. With D as a proper member of the Rangers, his infiltration becomes even more compelling. I like the dynamic he develops with Usukubo and Hisui and the exploration of his nature as a petty villain outclassed by the bigger bads on both sides of the conflict. There are some developments that are left unanswered by the end, but there are more than enough revelations to keep you sated while you wait to tie up those dangling plot threads. We close on an appropriately big battle and there are some major shifts to the status quo by the end that's got me looking forward to Season 3 as much as I was looking forward to this. If you were a fan before, you'll find this quite rewarding. I'm more than happy to recommend adding this to your collection.
