Synopsis:
A high school boy's life gets turned on its head when five girls start competing for his affections as his fiancée candidates.

Impressions:
When I saw the first episode of this series, it looked like I was going to be getting a really trashy harem story and there's definitely elements of that, but as soon as the second episode, it looked like they were deliberately screwing with the audience. This gets progressively ramped up as we go until the big reveal, then it all takes a sharp swerve. You might find all this rather clever or you might just roll your eyes. The two keys to enjoying this series is to be on board with the absurdity of the first part and take the drama of the second part seriously. I was able to do this reasonably well and I did warm up to several of the characters. That was enough to make the viewing a passable experience for me, but this is definitely not a series for everyone. Consider the provisos I've mentioned and take it or leave it.
