Impressions:
As I was going through the new releases as they came up, my interest was piqued when I saw that Jun Fukuyama was voicing the main character. I was hoping a bit for fantasy Lelouch and we sort of get that, minus the theatrics and megalomania, sadly. This is actually a reincarnation isekai, but it's so downplayed (at least here in the anime) that you would barely know it except for a handful of tells. The story is decent but nothing amazing. How well you take repetitive elements such as Satie and Lilith's rivalry and Jiron's fawning over Ike will play into your enjoyment. Production values are similarly decent but not amazing, with nice enough character designs and such. The CG is modeled well enough but stiffly animated and the copy-paste mobs on both sides saps the visual interest of battle scenes. In the final tally, it's a middle-of-the-road fantasy outing that you certainly don't need to rush out to see but you probably wouldn't regret seeing it either. Take it or leave it.
