Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible (2023)
[δΉ δΏγγγ―ε(γ’γ)γ許γγͺγ]
Director: Kazuomi Koga
Studio: Pine Jam
Starring: Kana Hanazawa, Kengo Kawanishi, Miku Ito
Episodes: 12
Synopsis:
A boy who is virtually invisible to everyone around him has one classmate who won't let him simply fade into the background.
Impressions:
I didn't think they could do a teasing girl story that's even lighter and fluffier than Takagi-san, but here we are. There's not much substance here, no real conflict and little character development, but if you find yourself charmed by the eponymous Kubo-san (which isn't too hard given her cute design and an excellent performance by Kana Hanazawa), you should enjoy yourself. The original airing suffered from an alleged attack by Corona-chan, which hit a few other series that season and is part of the reason I fell off for so long before picking it back up again. Anyway, it's well enough worth a watch if all you're after is some light viewing.
