Synopsis:
Diablo finds himself aiding the Head Priestess Lumachina against a corrupt faction within the Church that wants her dead.

Impressions:
We open to our new female main nearly getting raped to death by a mushroom tentacle monster summoned by a fruitcake Paladin and think, "So this is where we're going with the series, huh?" I considered the first season middling at best and this is a step down from that. I'm not much of a fan of new girl Lumachina and Diablo's schtick had already worn thin, so seeing him still be the same loser virgin bluffing his way through situations rather than genuinely growing into his self-made role as Demon Lord (which he has more than enough power to justify) just comes off as lame and not even in a sufficiently amusing way. I suppose one battle was supposed to be played for black comedy, but it just made Diablo come off as despicably pathetic. I'll admit that the OP and ED are fairly catchy, but that's about the only thing positive I have to say about this season. I mean, I guess if you're just a die-hard fan of this franchise, you may want to watch it, but I found it a chore to get through and can't bring myself to recommend it. Pass on it.
