Impressions:
I'm surprised I hadn't heard of this sooner, but once it popped onto my radar, I was quick to check it out. The prospect of another story from the creator of One Punch Man is definitely enough to get my interest. Like OPM, it plays with the idea of an overpowered protagonist. Mob has immense powers, but it doesn't get him what he wants in life. In contrast with the emotionally muted Mob, we have delightfully hammy performances by Takahiro Sakurai as Reigen, Akio Otsuka as Ekubo and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Hanazawa. We get the derpiness of ONE's art combined with the highly skilled work of Studio Bones to create a visually unique experience that occasionally borders into experimental animation territory. The comedy and character drama are quite good and I'd easily recommend adding this one to your collection.
