Synopsis:
Representatives from the kingdoms of Remnant compete in the Vytal Festival Tournament, unaware that they are playing into Cinder's plot.

Impressions:
With the unfortunate passing of series creator Monty Oum, the future of the series was in doubt, but the crew came together and did an impressive job of honoring his legacy. The improvements made over the previous season continue here. Most of the season centers around the tournament that's been built up since the end of Season 1. This provides a lot of opportunity for creative fight scenes (and even in Monty's absence, the animators do a good job of replicating his signature flair for action). We also see the villains' plan go into effect and it plays out gloriously. The stakes get raised and we get some hard hits. I'm really pleased with how things are developing. This one belongs in the collection.
