Synopsis:
Tucker has given birth to an alien parasite, O'Malley is on the loose and Donut appears to have been crushed by a dropship. What more can go wrong for the Reds and the Blues? Plenty.

Impressions:
As the conclusion of the first arc of the series, The Blood Gulch Chronicles, they pull out all the stops. We get a new character in the form of Grif's sister and the story behind her VA's casting (and subsequently the direction of her character) is worth relating. As a friend of the staff, Rebecca Frasier was favored for the role, but Burnie wanted to have others audition for the part as well, so they fed her increasingly vulgar lines to see when she'd stop. She never did and so she got the part and Sister became the outrageously vulgar young lady we see on the screen. There are some good twists and turns in the plot and the big climactic battle is quite the show. The denouement also works well enough that it could actually work as a series finale, so I was actually surprised when they announced a sixth season. It should go without saying that if you've been enjoying the series thus far, you'll want to keep going and fans will want to add this to the rest of the series in their collection.
