Impressions:
While I enjoyed the first movie quite a bit, I was in no rush to see the sequel, especially given some of the things I'd heard about how the story plays out. However, as with almost all post-Endgame comic book movies, I ended up seeing this because of the kiddos. While I can easily praise the work of the animators, who manage to step up their game from the already impressive work from the previous film, the writing is more of a mixed bag. There's about as much going on with the characters and overall story that I like as what I don't like. Some of it is just modern writing tropes on display, which is what it is, I guess. Another part of it is issues with multiverse stories in general that we see plaguing the MCU. I suppose it depends on how deep you dig into it. Maybe it isn't a problem for most viewers. Even thinking what I do, I still think it's worth a watch, for the animation if nothing else (though I do think there's probably enough salvageable with the story to make it worthwhile as well).
