Batman: Year One (2011)

Synopsis:
A young Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham looking for direction while Lieutenant James Gordon struggles with a corrupt police department.

Impressions:
While I found The Dark Knight Returns to be rather coarsely written, this story is much better, but it still has some awkward bits. On a technical level, it looks good and is rather well animated. Bryan Cranston is quite good as Gordon, but I wasn't that big of a fan of Ben McKenzie's performance as Batman. It's not perfect, but it's definitely worth seeing. Give it a watch.
