Synopsis:
The sister of a Hill House survivor is kidnapped by a treasure hunter looking for a medieval idol that was supposedly hidden in the house.

Impressions:
I thought I'd seen the House on Haunted Hill remake, but I guess it was the remake of The Haunting that I saw a number of years ago. Well, I don't think you need to see the prior film all that much. There's not much going on here. The story and characters aren't great and neither are the special effects. Erik Palladino is kinda entertaining as the slimy villain. Apparently the Blu-Ray has branching paths, which is a neat gimmick, but not quite enough for me. Skip it.
