Firewall (2006)

Firewall (2006)

Director: Richard Loncraine
Starring: Harrison Ford, Virginia Madsen, Paul Bettany

Synopsis:
When his family is kidnapped, the security chief of a bank has to stage a robbery for their release.

Impressions:
I remember reading an article from around the time this movie came out where Paul Bettany was commenting on how impressed he was at Harrison Ford doing some of his own stunts, telling his much younger costar to hit him harder and make it look more real. This impressed me at the time, but lukewarm reviews kept me from checking it out in the theaters. While it may not quite be worth ticket price, it's still worth seeing, I'd say. If you like hostage thrillers, this isn't bad. Harrison Ford is good, as is Paul Bettany as the mastermind. Though his role is fairly small, we also have Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as one of the mooks. It's not one of Ford's best films, but it isn't bad. Give it a shot.
