Synopsis:
Detective Alex Cross hunts for a serial killer who kidnapped his niece, enlisting the help of a doctor who is the only one to have escaped from him.

Impressions:
Morgan Freeman's first outing as Dr. Alex Cross is a tense, well-made crime thriller. Imagine something of the feel of The Silence of the Lambs but a little more grounded. Morgan Freeman's performance is the highlight, but the rest of the cast does well, namely Ashley Judd, Cary Elwes and Brian Cox. If you're in the mood for a 90s-era thriller, this is worth a watch.
