Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992)

Synopsis:
The human soul of Pinhead has separated from his demonic alter ego and contacts a reporter to help him put an end to Pinhead and the curse of the Lament Configuration. Meanwhile, trapped in the Pillar of Souls, Pinhead manipulates an abusive playboy to be released into the world.

Impressions:
This is definitely a step down from the previous two films, which is going to be a trend as sequelitis sets in. There are some interesting things going on both a character and lore level, but if you're not really invested in the series, this movie isn't going to do much for you. I will say that the designs of the new Cenobites (rightfully dubbed pseudo-Cenobites) are pretty lame.

Bottom line: If you're a fan of the franchise, go ahead and watch this one. Otherwise, skip it.
