The Astronaut's Wife (1999)
Director: Rand Ravich
Starring: Charlize Theron, Johnny Depp, Joe Morton
Synopsis:
An astronaut returns to Earth after an accident during a spacewalk and his wife fears the experience has changed him.
Impressions:
Charlize Theron has the worst luck when it comes to moving from Florida to New York. I'm not going to spend too much time on this one. It's a decent enough thriller that takes its time building up to the climax, but it's nothing that great. What little CG is present is pretty bad. If you're a fan of either Johnny Depp or Charlize Theron, it might be reason enough to see it. Joe Morton is also pretty good as the NASA official who descends into paranoia. If the premise sounds appealing, give it a shot. Otherwise, you're not missing all that much.
