Synopsis:
An ancient monster is unleashed on a small Irish village.

Impressions:
When I saw this among Clive Barker's credits, I thought I'd seen it covered by RLM and indeed it had been. This is a cheap, trashy 80s horror flick that only faintly reflects some interesting ideas, which is about as far as Barker's influence goes. The monster effects are garbage and there's never much sense of genuine suspense or horror. I'd be mildly curious to check out the original short story, but as for this film, there's not much to gain by seeing it unless you're looking for some Halloween riffing material. Pass on this.
