Synopsis:
A troubleshooter gets caught in the middle of a brewing war between rival racketeers.

Impressions:
Harry Medved put this on his list of the fifty worst movies of all time. I would have to argue that he hadn't seen many movies if he put this on the same list as Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. Honestly, even if we restrict ourselves to blaxploitation, you're going to have a hard time beating Abar the First Black Superman. Contrary to Mr. Medved's claim (in my opinion, at least), this is actually a good movie, one of the better blaxploitation films out there. Some people even argue that it's better than Shaft. Mr. T (not the one you're thinking of) unraveling the truth and then getting payback is a fairly rewarding ride. It's definitely worth seeing by blaxploitation fans and general moviegoers may well find it worth a watch too.
