Force 10 from Navarone (1978)
Director: Guy Hamilton
Starring: Harrison Ford, Robert Shaw, Edward Fox
Synopsis:
A pair of British commandos join an American covert mission in Yugoslavia, but things go awry and they must work out a new plan to complete the mission.
Impressions:
As a sequel to the much better regarded The Guns of Navarone brought to the screen some 17 years later, this movie gets a bit of heat from some corners, but it's fairly decent if not all that remarkable. You've got a lot of notables in the cast, but the story and characterization aren't all that strong, which don't make the movie all that compelling. It's watchable enough, but it won't leave much of an impression. There's no harm in watching it, but there are much better films out there.
