Experiment in Terror (1962)

Experiment in Terror (1962)

Director: Blake Edwards
Starring: Glenn Ford, Lee Remick, Stefanie Powers

Synopsis:
A bank employee is coerced to rob her workplace by an asthmatic thug.

Impressions:
If you're familiar with Blake Edwards' more comedic offerings, this movie will be quite the change of pace. It's a solid thriller with Ross Martin making for an effective and menacing villain. Lee Remick doesn't simply play a damsel in distress, often showing a lot of assertiveness with her tormentor but still enough vulnerability to be sufficiently imperiled. There's a good balance between the main character's struggle with the villain and the investigation by the FBI agent hunting him down. There's also a good score by Henry Mancini. Definitely give this one a watch.
