Children of the Damned (1964)
Director: Anton Leader

Synopsis:
The implementation of an international standardized IQ test reveals a number of children with exceptional intelligence who may not be entirely human.
Impressions:
Some people prefer this pseudo-sequel to Village of the Damned over the original, but I'm too much of a George Sanders fan to cede the field to this movie. Don't get me wrong, though, this is still quite good, every bit as good as the original. While the original was more localized, this plays out more on the international level and ramps up the Cold War tensions. Also, having two scientists play off each other makes for a good dynamic. Neither Ian Hendry nor Alan Badel have as much charisma as George Sanders, but they do their job quite well. Give this one a watch. You don't need to have seen the first one to enjoy this but if you liked Village of the Damned, you'll like this too.
