Synopsis:
A meteor crash becomes the harbinger of a Martian invasion of Earth.
Impressions:
As a major film in the history of scifi, it deserves a watch on that count alone. I'll admit to never really clicking with the characters, but the movie does a good job of portraying the desperation and hopelessness of humanity on the ropes. Also, especially for the time, the effects are quite good. This movie is the standard by which all alien invasion stories are measured. Give it a watch.
