Impressions:
If you like kaijuu movies, there's no doubt you'll be wanting to give this one a watch. When taken in comparison to director Ishiro Honda's earlier Godzilla, you can definitely see an improvement in the special effects, but I felt the human element wasn't a strong and you never get the same sort of menace. Yes, there's plenty of destruction to be had and a fair bit of buildup before Rodan is finally revealed, but narratively speaking, it's a weaker film. Now, I get the feeling most people watch kaijuu movies to see monsters wreck stuff and you should get enough of that. Weaknesses aside, it's still a decent enough watch.
