The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (2020)
[ゼルダの伝説:トワイライトプリンセス]
Volume 8
Author/Artist: Akira Himekawa
Publisher: Tentomushi Comics
Synopsis:
Link begins to train under the Hero of Time to overcome his weaknesses.
Story/Characters:
The training arc is not only a chance for Link to get himself straightened out but also connects into his past and gives him new motivation going forward. After settling things in the Temple of Time, we cut back to the Hyrule Castle Town, where the Resistance helps fend off an incursion by monsters and Ilia gets a moment with the Bulblin King. We then focus on Shad as Link seeks out the City in the Sky. Once again, we have a supporting character given further development here in the manga. We continue on to the fight with Argorok and after that get our first glimpse of a breather episode before Link and Midna venture into the Twilight Realm.
Art:
You know to expect good things from the art. Action scenes are dynamic with the Temple of Time fight scenes standing out in particular. The scene with Ilia and the Bulblin King was also quite well-crafted.
Conclusion:
Can you believe that the Himekawa team has been going at this for four years now? I really am loving the time and care being put into this series. Depending on the pacing, we may be done in another two or three volumes. I've enjoyed the ride so far and look forward to seeing it through to the conclusion. Zelda fans will want this in their collection.
