The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (2019)
[ゼルダの伝説:トワイライトプリンセス]
Volume 6
Author/Artist: Akira Himekawa
Publisher: Tentomushi Comics
Synopsis:
Link and Midna travel to Snowpeak in search of a fragment of the Mirror of Twilight.
Story/Characters:
The Snowpeak mansion was rather different from your typical Zelda dungeon and the yeti couple was nice, so I was looking forward to seeing this adapted in manga form, especially since this adaptation is taking its time to develop things. Ashei gets featured more prominently than in the game, teaming up with Link and getting some more development along with screentime.
In the previous volume I was wondering if they were going to build on the idea of Link getting drunk on the power of the Master Sword and they do. This is the most natural setup for introducing Shadow Link and I like how it's handled.
Art:
I have nothing but good things to say about the art as usual. The real standout in this volume is the depiction of Link going off the deep end and his fight with Shadow Link.
Conclusion:
This is a solid continuation of the story. Link's corruption is handled really well and sets up the next phase of his character arc. If you've been enjoying the series so far, you're definitely going to want this volume too.
